Kyle Commission (January 2021)

Aquarell, Art, character, Comic Adaption, Watercolor

In January of 2021 I got my first commission via my Instagram Account.
A girl from somewhere in America send me a direct message, asking if I’m taking commissions. I felt honored and accepted it: She wanted the southpark character Kyle Broflovski drawn in my style.

To this day I’m a bit confused, why exactly she wanted me (only painting K-pop related people during that time) to do that for her. Especially since my art wasn’t exactly known or astonishing during that time.
BUt nevertheless I had a lot of fun doing it, also, because the original character really doesn’t look like the references I usually use.

Looking back, I don’t love the way he turned out to look, but it was still a great task.

After I finished and she was happy with the finished painting, I even shipped to her.

Clay Bat (2021)

Art, character, Sculptures

In January 2021 my sister wanted to build some cute stuff with clay. Since I’ve always been and will always be in dark edgy witch stuff I obviously had to decide between a skull, a snake or a bat. Since I wanted to do something fluffy the bat was just my way to go.

So that’s what I did!

First, I roughly started to sketch him out. Afterwards I ran to garden & trapped some wire- then to the kitchen and took the tinfoil.

That’s how the base of the little bat, the skeleton was made.

Afterwards my sister and I got to the basement and started to form our little figures (she made a really cute turtle)

We just left them to dry a bit- and since we sadly do not own a clay oven they both were meant to just die and crumble into little dry clay pieces.

So no, this bat was never burned and painted (even though we probably still could have done something to make both figures last longer) but I still had a lot of fun with this little project.

Ancestral Gallery: Lena (2021)

Art, oil painting, Painting

When we were kids, my sister and I had two rabbits. Lars and Lena. After some years Lena sadly passed away and we got Lilly.

As a birthday present I painted Lilly ( I can’t quite remember, whom it was a present for) but my mom thought the painting looked like belongs in an Ancestral Gallery. I loved the idea and over time I painted the other two rabbits. Now we have this Ancestral Gallery in my parents corridor and the only one still missing is Maja, the Labrador I grew up with.

Here you can see the painting for Lena. I love how I can notice that I did improve with oil colors by painting the three cuties.

Funfact: My sister wanted to have a little brother named Lars instead of a sister (me) and was rather disappointed when she couldn’t give me that name. Since she was a big fan of “Lars der kleine Eisbär” she picked out Lars when he was a baby, since he is completely white.

The story is about a small polar bear that also has a snow rabbit friend: Lena. In the story, Lena looks exactly like the rabbit I picked out. That’s how we found both of the names for our little rabbits.

Oni Mask/ sketch (2021)

Art, Masks, masks, Sculptures

Besides painting, I also love to sculpt masks.

After I finished my Rabbit mask (click here to see the project), some friends of mine wanted me to make plaster masks for them too.

One of them, Duc, wanted me to do a dark blue/grayish Oni mask for him. These are the sketches. The mask actually exists- but it isn’t finished and I haven’t worked on it in a looooong while. Maybe I can take a picture of it one day.

You can see the process of me taking a plaster mask off his face underneath the sketches.

The reason why it isn’t finished is, that I am not happy with the current state of it. Right now it even has details, teeth (made out of fimo) and is painted, but it is simply too heavy and not symmetrical enough for my liking.

Cyberpunk 2077 (2020)

Aquarell, Art, character, Faces, Watercolor

For one of my moms colleagues birthday, I was supposed to paint a card last minute. Since apparently He likes video games, I decided on this one. It ain’t my favorite one but she’s still cute.
To be honest I must say, that I still haven’t played it yet. But with all the negative backla

sh and the fact, that mycomputer would simply die by trying to run it, I haven’t found the motivation to actually get it.

Also on this watercolor card, you will simply think that she has purple skin, but it’s actually the lighting (which you can’t really notice, since my execution is rather poor lol)

Another Fae Update

Art, Sculptures

Here we go again!
I just realized, that I apparently do not have nice pictures of the finished Fae sculptures. So instead of giving you the end result right now, I will feed you more progress updates (even though I finished the two cuties about three to four years ago.

The farther down you go in this Blog entry, the more progress you will notice on them!

Schoolbook sketches (2020)

Art, Drawing

In 10th grade, I loved to scribble silly little figures pin my notebooks. In order to not make these books look silly, I started to use single pieces of paper to do these scribbles on.
When we had time, one of my friends and I started to name these little creatures. I think uo top date my favorites are Toby, Pixie and Amando. Which one do you like best?

And by the way: Happy new year!!

Portait Commission

Aquarell, Art

In the beginning of 2020 I went to “Nightfleemarket” events. An inside flee market, where I painted live and tried to sell some of my artwork.

While being there, I got some of my first commissions from people that weren’t relatives or friends.
This here is one of them. The lovely elderly pair asked me to paint them, I believe it was for their anniversary or something similar.

According to them I asked for absolutely not enough payment, to which they gave me more, than I originally asked for.

It was a lovely experience and I am up to date really happy, how the commission turned out. Especially since it is not heavily stylized but rather quite realistic.

Ink sketch: Skull

Art, Drawing

During 2020 I started to feel like tattooing would be something that I enjoy. Until today I still haven’t started actually learning how to do it, but the wish has never left and nowadays I am actually planning on learning in within the next year or something.

I tried out typical Ink Styles and this skull was one of the first things I drew in that kind of style.

I only now realized that I dated it was “2020” but I remember (and my phone also says the same) that I finished it on the 1rt of January 2021.

I also remember, that I listened to a Big-Food “the three investigators” (German: die drei ???) Audiobook while drawing it.

Christmas Cards

Aquarell, Art

Marry Christmas to all of you!

During the same time, my mom and I printed the heavily stylized Christmas cards (you can see them in my last blog post) I also painted some more usual looking Christmas cards that we also printed and gifted to others.

Right now, we are actually still selling some of them, as people love them!

Here, you can see two different ones:

Watercolor Art

In 2018 or 2019, I started to find an interest in Watercolors.
At first I mainly painted famous people with it, but by time that changed into attending DTIYS (Draw this in your style, a social Media Challenge where you paint an artwork of someone else in your style) or just painting things that were on my mind.

On this page, you will find my more recent works well as a collection of works I’m still proud of.

Dragon (2021)

Since I’ve been a big fan of fantasy stories and creatures, I also always had a gigantic love for dragons. Here is one beauty I created while listening to the audiobook of one of my favorite books.

Winter Cards 2020

Aquarell, Art

Matching the current days, I decided to show you these ones, I created in winter of 2020.
During that Christmas season my mom and I decided to print my first cards. Our friends and relatives loved them!

I don’t know why I was doing it, but they have this specific style you for sure notice.

Anyway, I still love these cuties 🙂

The snow bird: A Christmas present for Christine (2019)

I did that as a Christmas present for my best friends mum- she likes birds

“Apfelmalertreffen” (May 2017)

In May 2017, I was a participant in the Apfelmalertreffen by Herdin Radtke. A group of mostly adults painted according to the artist’s instructions together an apple with oil color. The event took place in the spa park of Bad Salzschlirf. It was an exciting experience and later I painted some more apples and other figures in oil by myself.
